Government won’t compensate telecoms for security upgrades: reports

Public Safety Minister Gary Anandasangaree says the federal government will not subsidize upgrades that the major telecoms may have to undertake when its lawful access legislation is passed. There may be money available to small players, although that has yet to be determined, he added.
