Too many emergency alerts could lead to ignorance: telecom consultant

TORONTO — An amber alert that resulted in three emergency texts sent to LTE phones in Ontario is a lesson that more training needs to be done to limit their frequency, since overuse of the system could defeat its purpose, a conference heard Tuesday.
