BC group trumpets 130% yearly growth

A volatile technology market hasn’t slowed growth at British Columbia’s provincial new media association. New Media BC membership director Jessica Schaap says that despite cutbacks at some content companies to deal with tough economic times, the association has grown by 130 per cent in the last year. Association membership, she says, is being increasingly seen as an inexpensive way to network and market by the sector, and the group has responded to demand by creating new channels through which members can advertise themselves.
