Teliphone Corp. acquires Navigata

Toronto network operator Teliphone Corp. acquired Navigata Communications 2009 Inc.’s core assets, operations and network, the company said. “The transaction includes all core assets, operations and network of Navigata Communications 2009 Inc. including its British Columbia wireless microwave backhaul network, its Canadian Wavelength Fibre Optic Network, CLEC Operations, and its mutual CLEC/ILEC co-location facilities,” the company said in a release Monday. The subsidiary will now operate under the brand name Teliphone Navigata-Westel and Navigata will change its name to Cascade Divide Enterprises Inc., the release said. The company said Benoit Laliberte, Teliphone’s chief technology officer, has been appointed as president and CEO of Teliphone and Teliphone Navigata-Westel. Outgoing president and CEO Lawry Trevor-Deutsch will continue to serve within the company as a special adviser for business development, the release said....
