The CRTC Friday granted an FM licence to Four Senses Entertainment Inc. to operate an FM radio station in Squamish British Columbia. It will be an Adult Album Alternative station located at 99.7 on the dial.

The CRTC on Friday denied two separate applications requesting to add FM rebroadcasting transmitters in Vancouver for better radio transmission quality from Four Senses Entertainment Inc. and Corus Entertainment Inc. The regulator said in a broadcasting decision that the Four Seasons’ request to rebroadcast CKEE-FM to a transmission in North Vancouver did “not constitute the best use of the proposed frequency,” and noted that the frequency it requested could be used to serve another station that could originate in that market.
