A U.S. affiliate of ABC has been denied by the CRTC its request to be removed from the list of non-Canadian television channels approved for distribution in Canada. A Minneapolis-St. Paul ABC affiliate is asking the CRTC to remove it from its list of non-Canadian programming services authorized for distribution. An application from Hubbard Broadcasting Inc. (HBI), owner of the channel in question, KSTP-TV, appeared on the commission's website on Tuesday.
