Advertisers favour online video ads: report

Digital video advertising has become the fastest-growing segment of online advertising in Canada, according to a report by digital video ad firm BrightRoll Inc .and IAB Canada. The report, titled “Canada Video Advertising Report,” drew from a survey of more than 300 advertising executives and found that the majority of agencies have more confidence in video as an effective tool to build engagement, enhance brand reach and deliver proven return on investment. Sixty-nine percent of survey respondents find video equally or more effective than television, and 85 per cent prefer video to display ads, the report said. “Technological advances in ad buying, serving and measurement are all contributing to the rapid growth of digital video in Canada,” the report said....
