CAB, OAB disappointed with CBC radio advertising

The Canadian Association of Broadcasters (CAB) and the Ontario Association of Broadcasters (OAB) said they are disappointed with the CRTC’s decision to allow CBC/Radio-Canada to advertise on its Radio 2 and Espace Musique radio networks.
In a decisionTuesday that renewed CBC’s broadcasting licences for five years, the CRTC said the Crown corporation can air up to four minutes of national ads on its previously ad-free Radio 2 and Espace Musique networks during a three-year trial period.
