PC Mobile, owned by George Weston Ltd. subsidiary Loblaw Companies Ltd., is offering plans for wireless services, the company announced on Wednesday. The plans, which include notifications when users approach, reach, or go over their monthly usage thresholds, were described by the company in a release as “the perfect choice for families who want to monitor their mobile usage and help avoid 'billing shock.'” Customers can choose an 18- or 30-month contract, with an introductory rate of $35 for 400 “Canada-wide” minutes and 200 MB of data, $50 for 1,000 minutes and 1 GB of data and $65 for unlimited minutes and 2 GB of data, the release said.
