BlackBerry reaches legal settlement with Typo

BlackBerry Ltd. said Monday in a press release it reached a settlement agreement in its disputes with Ryan Seacrest's Typo Products LLC. The release said that Typo will permanently discontinue the sale of its keyboard attachment for smartphones and mobile devices with a screen size less than 7.9 inches. The company will continue to sell the attachment for devices with a larger screen.   BlackBerry sued the company regarding its original Typo product. BlackBerry Ltd. is seeking an injunction against the latest version of a keyboard add-on made by Ryan Seacrest's Typo Products LLC for Apple Inc.'s iPhones, Reuters reported Tuesday. The article said BlackBerry claimed in U.S. District Court filings that the Typo 2 copies "numerous proprietary BlackBerry designs and patents ...
