Quebec-based X-Telia has deployed a network dedicated to the Internet of Things (IoT) in Montreal, the company said in a press release Thursday. It said in the French-language release that it’s the first IoT-dedicated network in the province. The network uses Semtech Corp.’s long-range (LoRA) antennas, which are also being tested as part of 5G trials from Quebecor Inc.’s Videotron.
