Vancouver’s BroadbandTV buys leading kids’ content creator

Vancouver-based BroadbandTV Corp. announced Tuesday that it has bought a company that bills itself as the world's top producer of digital video content for kids. Broadband said in a press release that the acquisition of YoBoHo New Media Pvt. Ltd., based in Mumbai, India, positions it as "one of the leaders in kids and family entertainment on YouTube." It said YoBoHo generates three billion views a year, with one of its main brands being HooplaKidz. BroadbandTV said that, following the transaction, its network would generate about 50 billion views a year on Google Inc.'s YouTube, making it one of the top three non-music networks on that platform in the world.
