Andra Sheffer has stepped down as the head of the Bell Fund, which directs money contributed from BCE Inc.’s operations to independent Canadian media producers, according to a Thursday press release. Sheffer has been executive director of the non-profit Bell Fund since its inception in 1997, during which time the fund has distributed more than $140 million, the press release said.
