CBC Radio/Canada named Asha Tomlinson as the new host of its nightly newscast in Windsor, Ont., the broadcaster said. In a release Wednesday, CBC said Tomlinson will take over as anchor of CBC News Windsor, which airs weeknights at 5:30 p.m., starting Sept. 2. A graduate of the University of Windsor’s communications program, Tomlinson has held several positions with private broadcasters and the Crown corporation over the past decade.
