The Canadian Wireless Telecommunication Association has hired Chris Jones as its new director of regulatory affairs, policy and research. Jones replaces Kurt Eby, who left the role at the CWTA in January to take a position in Toronto. According to emails from CWTA spokeswoman Sophie Paluck, Jones started on April 3 and “brings to the CWTA seventeen years of advocacy and lobbying experience, knowledge of the federal legislative and policy process, executive management and leadership experience in the association sector, and a genuine interest and passion for the wireless industry.” That experience includes working in government relations for the Tourism Industry Association of Canada and the Railway Association of Canada, she added. ...
