Chris Peirce leaving MTS Allstream

Chris Peirce is retiring from his position as chief corporate officer at Manitoba Telecom Services Inc.‘s MTS Allstream business unit. The company said in a release Friday that Peirce’s retirement would be effective Dec. 31. Peirce joined the predecessor of MTS Allstream, AT&T Canada, in 1999, it said. “Mr. Peirce made significant contributions to the telecommunications policy landscape in Canada while also playing a leading role in shaping MTS Allstream's position on major issues including the contribution subsidy mechanism, competitor network access, anti-competitive behaviour, wireless spectrum auction rules and foreign investment regulations,” the company said.
