Huawei declined to make Google Pixel: report

Huawei Technologies Co. Ltd. refused to make Alphabet Inc.’s new phone because the phone wouldn’t have featured Huawei’s own brand, according to a Monday Forbes report.   Colin Giles, Huawei’s vice-president of the consumer business group, said Google wanted exclusive branding on its new phone and that Huawei was not willing to make phones that didn’t promote its own brand, according to the article.
