Media-distribution company Entertainment One Ltd. has acquired the rest of digital studio Secret Location, completing an investment dating back to 2014. The company said in a Wednesday press release that Secret Location, which eOne describes as a content studio for emerging platforms, continued to see success since it first purchased a stake in May 2014, winning a series of awards including the first Emmy for a virtual reality project. “As the industry continues to evolve, we are pleased to bring new content formats and platform expertise more deeply into our business,” Darren Throop, president and CEO of eOne, said in the release. “The completion of our acquisition further builds on our core capabilities and augments our ability to bring the best content to the world.” Financial details about the acquisition were not disclosed.
