Shaw Communications Inc.’s profits rose to $250 million in the third quarter of 2013 as the company reported further cable TV customer losses in competition with Telus Corp. The company’s net income, for the three-month period that ended May 31, rose from $248 million in the same period a year earlier, Shaw said in an earnings statement Friday.
