Feds, Ontario, announce $54M broadband rollout

The federal and Ontario governments are together investing $54 million to roll out high-speed internet in the province. The project was announced Wednesday.
“Today’s announcement is a significant milestone for internet connectivity in rural Ontario,” federal Minister of Rural Economic Development Gudie Hutchings said in a statement. “Working with Rogers, we will help connect more than 20,000 underserved homes in 83 rural and remote communities in Ontario.”
