Rogers announces three new executives, Paul Ski to retire

Rogers Communications Inc. announced the retirement of senior vice-president of radio and regional broadcast operations Paul Ski on Tuesday as well as three new appointments to its senior executive team. Ski will step down on Dec. 31 and is to be succeeded by Julie Adam, a 15-year veteran of the company who served most recently as program director at 98.1 CHFI in Toronto, according to a news release. The company also named Navaid Mansuri as head of the partnership between Rogers and Vice Media Inc., effective immediately. Mansuri will oversee “all facets of Vice in Canada,” the release said, including content, advertising and finance, and will “act at the liaison between Vice Studio and Rogers.” Rogers said Mansuri is a CPA with more than 20 years of experience...

Record NHL ratings could help broadcasters reclaim lost revenues, experts say

Hockey fans are watching televised NHL games in record numbers following a 113-day lockout, allowing broadcasters to slowly claw back lost revenues, broadcasters and industry experts said.
