Directors, writers demand CBC transparency on digital spending

To begin the third and final week of the CRTC's hearings on CBC/Radio-Canada's license renewal, organizations representing the directors and writers for Canada's film and television industry have endorsed a call for more transparency on the broadcaster’s digital expenditures.  "We are concerned about a lack of systemic and transparent reporting and public accountability on activities associated with their digital services," Directors' Guild of Canada national president Warren Sonoda told the CRTC Monday.  The DGC, Sonoda said, "joins other interveners in calling for the introduction...
