Nelvana, Disney sign distribution deal

Canadian producer-distributor Nelvana, which is owned by Corus Entertainment Inc., has inked a deal with a Walt Disney Co. subsidiary licensing international broadcast and on-demand rights for a new animated series based on a successful toy brand.
Polly and the ZhuZhu Pets will air on the Disney Channel beginning Sept. 12 in the United States, followed by broadcasts in Germany, Switzerland, Austria, Russia, Australia, New Zealand, Belgium, the Netherlands, Luxembourg, central and eastern Europe, the Middle East and sub-Saharan Africa, Corus said in
