Aakash 2 tablet a ‘significant improvement’: DataWind

The Aakash 2 tablet is a “significant improvement” from the first version, which was criticized by users for its slow processor and resistive screen, Suneet Singh Tuli, president and CEO of Montreal-based device maker DataWind, said Tuesday. Singh Tuli said in a phone interview that the new tablet, released in November, has a more powerful processor, a more advanced touchscreen, 512 MB of RAM, and runs on Google Inc.’s Android 4.4 operating system.
