Trish Williams joins CBC

Trish Williams is moving from Temple Street Productions to CBC/Radio-Canada, where she will be CBC’s new executive director of scripted content.
Starting this week, she will “oversee our drama, comedy, film and scripted production planning teams across all broadcast and streaming original long-form programming,” Sally Catto, CBC’s general manager of programming, said in a message to staff.
Before joining Temple Street, Williams worked at BCE Inc.’s Bell Media, including as director of drama.

Tom Hastings named Bell’s independent production director

BCE Inc.'s Bell Media said Wednesday that Tom Hastings has been named its director of independent production. The company said in a press release that Hastings was already a production executive in this division. He is replacing Trish Williams, who is becoming co-executive producer of the CTV original series Saving Hope, Bell Media said. Hastings will report to Corrie Coe, Bell Media's senior vice-president of independent production, the release said....
