Video-calling on smartphones going mainstream: Gartner

More than one-third of U.S. smartphone users conduct video calls over their devices, and this activity is expected to grow in popularity around the world, technology research company Gartner Inc. said Monday. The company said in a press release that a survey indicated that 34.6 per cent of U.S. adult smartphone users used their device for video calling, and this proportion was 53.5 per cent among those aged 18 to 24.
