BlackBerry targets Facebook with patent infringement lawsuit

Citing its early developments in timestamp interfaces, encryption technology and blending mobile gaming into mobile messaging, BlackBerry Ltd. has brought a patent lawsuit against Facebook Inc. and its subsidiaries WhatsApp and Instagram in a Los Angeles court, according to documents released on Tuesday.
