Rogers Communications Inc. extended its 5G network in Quebec which now reaches more than 90 communities in the province, the company announced in a Tuesday press release. Rogers connected eleven cities and towns in Quebec as part of its commitment to cover over 70 per cent of the national population by the end of 2021, with additional deployments expected in 2022. The cities include Beaconsfield, Boucherville, Brossard, Dorval, Drummondville, Longueuil, Mascouche, Mont Tremblant, Saint-Constant, Saint-Lambert and Terrebonne. \u201cAs the first carrier to bring 5G to the province, we\u2019re proud to continue to expand our wireless network to reach even more communities across Quebec,\u201d said the president of Rogers\u2019 Quebec division, Edith Cloutier, in the release. The company also recently announced it enhanced its wireless network across more than 162 communities in the province since January 2020, and plans to improve connectivity in a total of 360 communities by end of the year.
