Luc Noiseux named Cogeco chief technology officer

Cogeco Inc. said Monday it appointed Luc Noiseux as the company’s new senior vice president and chief technology and strategy officer. Noiseux, whose appointment was effective Monday, joined the company from Accedian Networks, where he was vice president of research and development, Cogeco said in a press release. Telus’ fibre-optic technology powers smart-home demo

Telus Corp. announced Thursday it will be providing its fibre-optic network to connect and power a simulated smart home in Edmonton. It said in the press release that it has partnered with Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd., Ericsson AB and Alcatel-Lucent to provide the technology for the 560-square-foot home, which resembles a small condo, in order to demonstrate the potential of what its technology can power.
