ISED approves Rogers and Ecotel spectrum sharing

Innovation, Science and Economic Development (ISED) approved on Friday the issuing of four subordinate licences from Rogers Communications Inc. to Ecotel Inc. on Thursday.
This agreement will be for communities in Eastern and Southern Quebec, Yukon, Northwest Territories, Nunavut, and Newfoundland and Labrador. Rogers will retain control of the spectrum license, ISED said.
Such subordinate licences are required in cases of spectrum sharing and other similar agreements, according to ISED’s rules.
