The CRTC denied Blue Ant Media Inc.’s application to reduce its Canadian programming requirement for its Cottage Life specialty channel from 80 per cent to 50 per cent for the broadcast day. Solange Attwood joins Blue Ant

Independent broadcaster Blue Ant Media Inc. is launching an international distribution unit and has appointed Solange Attwood its new senior vice-president of international operations, the company said in a release Monday. Attwood will lead the development and launch of the division, the company said. “Her experience in the international distribution marketplace will be instrumental in both building a broad catalog of content rights and delivering Blue Ant programs to a worldwide audience,” Raja Khanna, the company’s CEO of television and digital, said in a release.
