$16M in Connecting Canadians funds going to Que. communities

The government will dip into its Connecting Canadians program to subsidize high-speed internet in 13 rural and remote communities in Quebec.
More than 2,800 households in Saint-Damien and Indigenous communities in James Bay and Kawawachikamach will receive $16 million through the program, which provides underserved areas with internet access of at least five megabits per second, the government said in a Friday release.
