DHX Media Ltd. said in its 2016 first quarter results that its revenue in the three months ending Sept. 30 grew 48 per cent to $63.9 million from $43 million during the same period a year earlier. It said Monday that an increase in distribution accounted for 19 per cent revenue growth and "new media, producer and service fee" revenue accounted for 37 per cent of the growth. It added that producer and service fee revenues were $14.3 million, up 115 per cent from $6.6 million the previous year, and new media revenue saw a growth of 47 per cent to $1.2 million, up from $840,000 the previous year.
