Iristel launches phone service in Iqaluit

Iristel Inc. rolled out new local home and business telephone services in Iqaluit, the company said. In a release Tuesday, Iristel said Iqaluit-based telecom customers can keep their existing phone numbers if they switch to Iristel’s service, and will pay “significantly less than what they are paying currently for their local telephone services.” "Residential customers can cut their local service phone bill in half and businesses can save significantly on office telephone systems and monthly service fees," Maged Bishara, the company’s vice-president of operations and national sales, said in the release.
