Major tech companies have filed documents with the U.S. courts in support of Apple Inc.'s position against creating a workaround for investigators to access encrypted information on an iPhone connected with the Dec. 2 attack in San Bernadino, Calif. Kickstarter to launch in Canada this summer

Kickstarter Inc. will begin offering its crowdfunding services in Canada sometime this summer, the company said Thursday on its official Twitter feed. “People in Canada will be able to launch projects on Kickstarter this summer!” the post said. Based out of New York, Kickstarter has become a popular source of funding for American technology startups, but has not yet made its services available in Canada. The company did not provide any additional information about the launch on Thursday, directing readers to a new website at kickerstarter.com/Canada to sign up for email alerts about when the service will be available.
