Telus buys EMR provider Medesync

Telus Corp. announced Thursday it has completed its acquisition of Medesync, an electronic medical records (EMR) provider. The purchase will add a web-based interface to Telus’ EMR system in Quebec, the company said in a press release. Medesync’s platform includes clinic operations management, including scheduling, prescriptions, billing and electronic lab results, the company said. "With the acquisition of the Medesync product, Telus Health is further strengthening its EMR offering by providing a robust, bilingual web-based solution that is well-regarded for its ease of use and accessibility by physicians from any computer or mobile device," Paul Lepage, president of Telus Health, said in the release....
