CRTC to question B.C. station about broadcasting without licence

Notices issued by the CRTC on Tuesday and Friday indicated two out of three British Columbia radio stations accused of broadcasting in Canada without a licence will not appear at a scheduled hearing looking into their cases Wednesday.
The commission sent out a press release Tuesday confirming that Surrey-based Radio India Ltd. will appear at Wednesday's hearing and argue why it shouldn't be ordered to shut down operations. A notice on the CRTC's website Tuesday said Sher-E-Punjab Radio Broadcasting Inc. of Richmond will not appear, and a separate notice Friday said Radio Punjab
