Google Inc. said Tuesday it had reached a deal to buy satellite company Skybox Imaging Inc. and hopes it can help it improve Internet access in some areas. Google said in a press release it is buying Skybox for $500 million US in cash. "Skybox’s satellites will help keep Google Maps accurate with up-to-date imagery," Google said in the release.
