A pair of channels originating from India and the United States have been approved for distribution in Canada, the CRTC said Friday. NDTV 24 X 7, described by the CRTC as a “24-hour niche service that provides news and current affairs programming” targeting a South Asian audience, was sponsored by Asian Television Network International Ltd., while WJBK-TV, a Detroit, Mich., Fox affiliate was backed by TekSavvy Solutions Inc. for inclusion on the list of non-Canadian programming services and stations authorized for distribution....
