Turkish, French channels approved for distribution

The CRTC has approved applications by Thema Canada, part of Vivendi SA’s Canal+ Group, to add TRT World and Studio Canal to its list of non-Canadian programming services and stations authorized for distribution. TRT World is a Turkish international news channel while Studio Canal, a Canal+ Group subsidiary, broadcasts programming “devoted to French and French-language cinema,” the CRTC said in a Friday decision....
