The federal government has denied a petition to the governor-in-council to overturn a June licence decision by the CRTC regarding Indigenous radio stations. In late June, Wawatay Native Communications Society asked Heritage Minister Mélanie Joly to overturn a decision that didn’t award it radio licences it was seeking in Ottawa and Toronto.
