George Cooney was appointed CEO at Toronto-based consumer analytics company VoodooVox Inc., the company said Monday. In a release, VoodooVox said Cooney, who has more than 30 years of experience in the mobile marketing, communications and Internet technology sectors, will also serve as a board member. Cooney previously held senior management positions at Nortel Networks in the areas of strategy, operations, finance, product marketing and new business development, the release said. Cooney replaces Michael Durance, who will now hold the position of chief of corporate strategies and development.
