Microsoft sues U.S. government over secret info requests

Microsoft Corp. is suing the United States federal government over orders to keep government requests for customer emails and records secret. President and chief legal officer Brad Smith said in a blog post Thursday that the company believes that “with rare exceptions consumers and businesses have a right to know when the government accesses their emails or records.
