Bell Aliant jobs being outsourced to India: union

Jobs with BCE Inc.’s Bell Aliant operations in Atlantic Canada are being outsourced to India despite a commitment from Bell when it took full control of Aliant's operations last year to protect these jobs, according to a union representing workers there. Unifor said in a press release Wednesday that the telecom company had informed employees on May 21 that it would contract out jobs to Wipro Ltd., an Indian-based global outsourcing company.
