MTS releases SIP trunking suites for Canadian businesses

Manitoba Telecom Services Inc.’s Allstream division announced Wednesday it is making SIP trunking, technology that provides signaling and call handling capacity to make VoIP calls over a carrier’s Internet protocol (IP) backbone network, available to its businesses customers. It said in the release that the new service, which is installed within a company's telecom infrastructure, is best suitable for businesses with 100 to over 400 employees and will help businesses run data and voice traffic over a single IP service from the Allstream network.
