Unlike their municipal colleagues in Toronto, members of Ottawa's city council decided against formalizing their support for the CRTC's decision to mandate wholesale access to fibre-to-the-home networks (FTTH), which is currently facing an appeal to the federal cabinet by BCE Inc. During a Wednesday morning meeting, council voted 17-7 in opposition to a motion led by Couns.
