Michael D’Avella, Shaw Communications Inc.’s senior-vice president of planning, will retire at the end of August, the company said Friday. CEO Brad Shaw said in a third quarter conference call with analysts that D’Avella will retire at the end of Shaw’s current fiscal year, which ends on Aug. 31.
