Incumbents ask court for delay of wholesale rate appeal

Incumbent cable companies have asked a Federal Court of Appeal judge to delay their appeal of the CRTC's wholesale rates decision until the proceeding can be conducted in person.
In a letter dated May 20, lawyers representing Rogers Communications Inc., Bragg Communications Inc., Cogeco Inc., Shaw Communications Inc., and Quebecor Inc. have asked Justice David Stratas for the previously agreed-to two day hearing on June 25 and 26 be adjourned until the court can conduct in-person meetings.
