Telus Corp. announced Wednesday that it has accepted the resignation of former federal Conservative MP Stockwell Day from its board of directors, following his appearance on a CBC/Radio-Canada television show. Day, a former leader of the Canadian Alliance and Alberta cabinet minister, denied that Canada was systemically racist in a Tuesday appearance on CBC’s Power and Politics.
