

Bell finalizes purchase of Ziply

BCE Inc. has closed its acquisition of Ziply Fiber, an internet service provider in the U.S. Pacific Northwest, the company announced on Friday, Aug. 1. The conglomerate spent C$5 billion in cash and assumed approximately C$2.6 billion in net debt. The funding for the deal was supported by Bell selling its stake in Maple Leaf Sports and Entertainment to Rogers Communications Inc. for $4.7 billion.
